Thanksgiving, 2004

This holiday season, while I had planned on cooking Thanksgiving dinner. I had gotten as far as planning the menu (roast duck, butternut squash soup, pumpkin pie, and persimmon pudding). Well, that's as far as I got. But, my plans were foiled by both my parents who cooked roast duck on Wednesday and relatives who concocted a Turkey feast on Thursday. The food this year was very good; and I did manage to make a nice apple tart with a cabernet sauvignon glaze. Mmmm. Next time, I have got to peel the apples and use less brown sugar.
