Greetings. I am the curator for this website and instigator of many of the recipes you will find posted here. Back in the day, I would reward myself with a new cooking utensil, baking pan, chef knife, etc., at the end of each skool semester completed. No, I am not formally trained in the culinary arts, but I hope to understand the craft better from those around me and maybe improve my skills along the way. I'm a single, urban professional woman and as such, I don't have much time nor energy when I get home from work so my recipes are usually pretty darn simple.

The recipes are also written from the cooking-for-one point of view, meaning that if it can feed 2-3 people, it probably means that I'll be eating it for 2-3 days.

I am formerly from the warm, sunny part of California, and am currently residing in the Pacific Northwest. While the abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables isn't quite available year-round here, the region does provide opportunities to mix in fresh seafood with these recipes.
